The thread, precisely
Standard kitchen faucet aerators use one of two threads: 15/16-inch-27 male (the aerator screws into the spout) or 55/64-inch-27 female (the aerator screws over it). Portable dishwasher adapters are sold to match both, usually in one kit with a reversible fitting.
Before buying anything, unscrew your existing aerator — it comes out by hand or with cloth-wrapped pliers — and take it with you, or measure across the threads. Adapter listings state the sizes they fit, and matching a physical part beats guessing from a photograph.

If you have a pull-down and want to keep it

Or plumb the dishwasher permanently to the supply under the sink, which converts it from portable to installed and is a plumber's job.
What will not work is an adapter that claims to clamp onto a spray wand. The wand is the water outlet; there is nothing to seal against.

If you want a bridge faucet, buy one from a manufacturer that will still stock parts for it in ten years, because a bridge faucet is a two-valve assembly and the valves are what ages. This is a genuine two-hole bridge with a separate side sprayer, which is how the configuration is meant to work — not a single-hole faucet with a decorative crossbar.
