Most residential kitchen faucets from the major brands carry a limited lifetime warranty on function and finish for the original owner. In practice that means the manufacturer sends you a replacement cartridge, because a cartridge is what fails. Delta publishes limited lifetime cover on the Leland and Moen on the Arbor MotionSense Wave.
A lifetime warranty is one of the more misunderstood things on a faucet box. It is genuinely valuable and it is not what most people picture, so it is worth being precise about what you are getting.

What the warranty actually does
Faucets fail in one place: the valve cartridge. A limited lifetime warranty means that when yours drips, the manufacturer posts you a new cartridge at no charge. You fit it — twenty minutes, a hex key and a screwdriver — and the faucet is as good as new.
What it does not do is send somebody to your house. That is a different promise, and in this category it appears on garbage disposals rather than faucets: InSinkErator publishes in-home service on its Evolution line. Faucet warranties are parts warranties, and the labor is yours.
The clauses worth reading before you rely on it
- Original owner only. Most of these warranties are not transferable, so a faucet inherited with a house generally carries nothing.
- Residential installation. Fitting a residential faucet in a commercial setting typically voids it outright.
- Finish cover and term. Some brands cover the finish for the same period as the mechanism and some for a shorter one. This is the clause most often skimmed.
- Proof of purchase. Usually requested, occasionally required. Photograph the receipt and the model number when you install the faucet — it takes ten seconds and it is the difference between a free part and an argument.
- Damage exclusions. Abrasive cleaners, hard-water damage and improper installation are excluded almost universally, and those are the causes of most real-world faucet complaints.
Why parts availability matters more than the term
A lifetime warranty from a company that cannot supply the part is worth nothing. This is the practical reason we keep coming back to the same three brands: Moen, Delta and Kohler all stock cartridges for models discontinued many years ago, so the warranty has something to deliver.
A marketplace-brand faucet advertising a lifetime warranty is making a promise with no supply chain behind it. Search the model number plus the word "cartridge" before you believe it — the test, and the brand tiers, are on kitchen faucet brands.

The pull-down we would fit in most kitchens, because the two parts that usually fail first on a pull-down are the two Delta engineered around: the docking mechanism and the valve. MagnaTite pulls the wand back into the spout with a magnet instead of relying on a friction collar, and Diamond Seal keeps water off the valve. The honest touchless pick, because it is a single-sensor faucet rather than a dual-sensor one. Dual-sensor faucets trigger when you reach across the deck; a single wave sensor above the spout does not. It runs on six AA batteries, so there is no electrician and no outlet needed, and the manual handle still works if the batteries die.
